I have struggled trying to fine a replacement. But I recently came across this "Diamond Glaze" to try. I used a little to put a pendant together that came a part and it worked great. So looking around my studio for more things tp experiment with, my eyes landed on this 7" x 5" painting with little collage elements that were curling at the edges.

squirted a teaspoon of glaze down and spread it out over the whole canvas with my finger. Here are the results. I like it for something small like this. It opens up possibilities!
